A seasoned therapist and counsellor with extensive training background from Professor of Psychiatry Dr. Yahya Rahkway to the Psychological Counseling and Training Center at the American University in Cairo. A member in the Egyptian Association of Group Psychotherapies and facilitator and translator for the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEFT) externship in Egypt.
Furthermore, Deana offers a unique blend of Islamic spirituality and mental health practice, having studied Islamic Psychology with Alkaram Institute and George Washington university, and currently studying the works of Dr Abdallah Rothman Executive Director of the International Association of Islamic Psychology and the pioneering work of the late Professor Malik Badri the founder of modern Islamic Psychology.
Previously studied a Business degree with specialisation in Marketing and taught Marketing and Consumer Behaviour at the Career Development department at the American University of Cairo. Deana takes a holistic approach to skills building by also delivering work psychology workshops to help identify and solve emerging issues within the workplace, improve workplace morale and dynamics, and increase employee satisfaction.
