Khaled Y. Youssef is professor of electrical & electronics engineering and adjunct professor of digital technologies at Coventry University, United Kingdom. He has 26 years of practical experience in Europe, and Middle East Region. He used to lead Alcatel Lucent EMEA in the period from 2004 to 2014 based in Velizy, France, strategic industries. During this period, he had several design patents for technology developments. He contributed in MEGA projects including , integrated technology platforms for airports (e.g. Charle De gole ,and Frankfurt airports ) , Paris connected car project, Kuwait smart metering system for electricity, Egyptian Electricity Company, Qatar Lusail road ITS system, ARAMCO oil piping control system. Before 2004, he has a long experience with the Egyptian field since 1998 in several areas including GIS , Telecom markets, and automation field. In 2014, Youssef started his initiative of digital transformation program across several entities in Egypt and Middle East , whereas he leads key programs in Egypt, Dubai , and Lebanon with key patency in Energy Optimization , fleet operations and process optimizations.one of his programs (Elsewedy Electric Digital Transformation Program) is accredited by IDC Global in 2019 to be a leader benchmarked against Western Europe. On the other hand, he started the first Egyptian program for Remote Sensing Satellite using M2M techniques with the Egyptian Space Agency recently launched in Egypt. He has granted his Ph.D. degree jointly with Bell Labs USA in 2010. He has a post doctorate research line with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) since 2017. He has more than 31 international publications in the security and network architecture domain published in IEEE journals and IET in addition to supervising more than 25 theses of master and Ph.D. student programs. He is also certified in Digital Transformation Success Management & Deep Technologies from MIT and energy efficiency audit programs from RCREE. He is a certified ISO 21500 Lead Auditor.
